Ann Morrison is returning to Feinstein's/54 Below with a new show revisiting her time in the original Broadway cast of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Merrily We Roll Along.
Morrison, who created the role of Mary Flynn, will reprise the songs she introduced in the short-lived musical and tell never-before-told tales from the work's creation. Ann will be joined by music director and accompanist John Shirley.
Merrily From Center Stage plays Feinstein’s/54 Below May 17 at 7 PM. For tickets and more information, visit 54Below.com.
The concert will feature hits from Les Misérables and Miss Saigon as well as rarely heard material from their musicals Martin Guerre,The Pirate Queen, and La Révolution Française.
Based on the award-winning novella, Open Throat tells the story of a queer and dangerously hungry mountain lion living in the drought-devastated land under the Hollywood sign.
The Tony winner will give a special one-night-only concert following a screening of the film at Tribeca Film Festival with special guests including Sara Bareilles, Billy Porter, and more.
