Jay Armstrong Johnson's Hocus Pocus-inspired concert I Put a Spell On You will make its ninth annual return October 21 at Webster Hall in NYC. Subtitled ALiiVE at Webster Hall, this year's iteration will again benefit the Ali Forney Center, a full-service organization for LGBTQIA+ youth to protect them from homelessness.

Johnson (Parade, The Phantom of the Opera) dons the red wig of head witch Winifred (played on screen by Bette Midler), with Allison Godleski and Amanda Williams Ware joining him as sisters Sarah and Mary, respectively (Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy in the film).

Further casting will be announced in the coming months. Previous concerts have included performances by Tony winner Gavin Creel (Into the Woods), Tony winner J. Harrison Ghee (Some Like It Hot), Tony nominee Eva Noblezada (Hadestown), and dozens more.

The concert will begin at 8 PM and will be followed by a dance party and costume contest. Audiences are encouraged to dress to impress in their most creative Halloween attire for a chance to win fantastic prizes.

Johnson is executive producing and writing the event, which is produced by Katie Rosin and Kampfire Films. Heath Saunders is directing, with DW serving as creative director and Ahmad Simmons as creative advisor. Michael Anthony Sylvester will be supervising choreographer, with makeup design by Kyle Krueger. Andy Jones of Baseline Theatrical is general managing.

Tickets start at $45 and are on sale now here. Sponsorship and VIP packages are also available here. All ticket purchases benefit the Ali Forney Center and are tax deductible before additional service fees.
