Tony winner Santino Fontana, seen Off-Broadway last season in the acclaimed revival of I Can Get It for You Wholesale, will return to 54 Below this fall with a new show composed entirely of audience requests.
Santino Fontana: By Request will be presented at the Manhattan nightspot September 11–14. Show time is 7 PM each night.
All ticket buyers will receive an email prior to the show with a link that allows them to make up to five song requests. Not all choices will be included, although the only songs performed will be chosen from that evening's ticket buyers.
Fontana received 2019 Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk, and Tony Awards for his performance in the musical adaptation of Tootsie. His other Broadway credits include Hello, Dolly!; Act One; Cinderella; The Importance of Being Earnest (Clarence Derwent Award); Brighton Beach Memoirs (Drama Desk Award); Billy Elliot; and Sunday in the Park with George. He received Lortel and Obie Awards for his performance in Stephen Karam’s Sons of the Prophet Off-Broadway. He voiced the villainous Prince Hans in the Academy Award-winning Disney film Frozen, and his screen credits also include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Shades of Blue, Mozart in the Jungle, Fosse/Verdon, Royal Pains, and Nurse Jackie. Fontana has also been a special guest performer on Playbill Travel's international Playbill Cruises.
