The 2024 Tony Nominees on What Show They Would Do on Broadway (That Isn't Their Own) | Playbill

Tony Awards The 2024 Tony Nominees on What Show They Would Do on Broadway (That Isn't Their Own)

It's freaky Friday, but Broadway.

When you're acting in a show, it is difficult to go see other shows that are also playing. But at a recent press event, Playbill asked the 2024 Tony Award acting nominees: "If you could jump into any other Broadway show, what show/role would it be?" They came out hot with some very unpredictable answers.

Jim Parsons said, "I'm gonna switch with Sarah Paulson in Appropriate and rip those two brothers apart." While Kelli O'Hara chose any character in The Outsiders, "so I can do the dance fight. In the water!" Apparently, it's not hard to stay gold when you're a Tony nominee! Watch the full video above (and count how many people said they'd star in Stereophonic).

The 77th Annual Tony Awards are set for June 16 at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater. The evening will kick off with The Tony Awards: Act One, streaming for free on Pluto TV, hosted by Julianne Hough and Utkarsh Ambudkar. The 77th Annual Tony Awards will follow beginning at 8 PM ET, broadcasting live on CBS (check local listings) and streaming live (for premium-level subscribers) via Paramount+. All Paramount+ subscribers will have on demand access to the broadcast beginning June 17. Stage and screen star Ariana DeBose will be back for the third consecutive year to host.
