Playbill Goes Fringe See Which Shows Are Preparing For Fringe at the East to Edinburgh Festival

Off-Broadway's 59E59 gives shows a space for a pre-festival run ahead of the world's largest arts festival.

59E59 Theaters will kick off this year's East to Edinburgh Festival programming July 9. The Off-Broadway theatre gives shows a chance to have a test run ahead of crossing the Atlantic to play Scotland's Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August. The East to Edinburgh Festival runs through July 28.

Along with the short preview run, East to Edinburgh gives productions a chance to do raise money for their Fringe runs. This year's festival features 16 productions from around New York and across the US, including Villain Era, New Kids on the Blockchain, Brett Epstein: Alone on Stage, Funny Guy, Pretty Delusional, Sonnets From Suburbia, All These Pretty Things, Polishing Shakespeare, Sarina Freda: no no no please no god no, nevermind i'm fine, The Gospel of Joan (Crawford), Plotters, CRINGE, The Bronze Boy, The Things I Did While Waiting For You To Fall Back In Love With Me, Yoga with Jillian, and Elizabeth I: In Her Own Words.
