London News Figaro: An Original Musical Sets 2025 London Concert World Premiere

Written by Ashley Jana and Will Nunziata, the original musical will play the London Palladium.

Ashley Jana and Will Nunziata's Figaro: An Original Musical will make its world premiere with a pair of fully staged concerts in 2025, set to play The London Palladium February 3 and 4. An all-star cast is to be announced.

The new work, which features songs by Jana and a concept and book by Jana and Nunziata, follows a young singer whose chance encounter with two young orphans and the handsome Figaro may just give her the chance to escape her formerly dull life on her father's farm and make all her dreams come true. A studio album of the score released earlier this year.

Nunziata will direct the concert performances, with Michael Lamon and 23 Productions serving as lead producers, Van Dean as executive producer, Andrew Byrnes and Witzend Productions as co-producers, and Carter Dixon McGill Productions as general manager.

“I met Ashley during the height of the pandemic over social media after listening to some of her music," says Nunziata in a statement. "Ashley’s unique storytelling ability combined with her thrilling melodies and lyrics left me floored. After hundreds of Zooms over three years, it has resulted in a finished book and score we are both really proud of. I cannot wait for the world to hear and see this musical for the first time on the West End at the world-famous London Palladium with a stellar cast of superstars to be announced soon! I know it's just the beginning for this show!"

"The day Will Nunziata came into my life, my dream of writing a musical began to come true!," adds Jana. "Will is an incredibly gifted writer, and he is also the best collaborator/director that anyone could ever ask for. Never have I enjoyed the creative journey more, and I am so excited for the world to hear and see our show in London on the West End!"

Tickets go on priority sale beginning at 10 AM GMT, with a general sale beginning at 12 PM GMT at LWTheatres.co.uk.
